Vacancy for a Malay Mixed Rice and Noodles Stall

School Canteen Operating Hours:
We are a single session school with an estimated enrolment of 1225 pupils and about 125 staff in year 2024. Our canteen operates from Mondays to Fridays, 7.00am to 2.30pm during the school term. The stall will be required to operate during School Holidays, where necessary, at the request of the school.

Requirements:
Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Stall holder and assistants(s) must be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident.

• Able to provide food that meet the health/nutritional standards set in Healthy Meals in Schools Programme (HMSP) designed by Health Promotion Board in collaboration with MOE.

• Able to provide good service and quality food at reasonable prices, in consultation with school

• Able to observe a high standard of food preparation and personal hygiene that meet NEA requirements

• Must be in personal attendance at the stall during operating hours

• Maintain cleanliness of the stall, designated food preparation area and canteen area

• Prior experience in catering or operating a stall in a school canteen/F&B experience will be an advantage

• Any other criteria set by the school
  

Health & Hygiene Requirements:

• Must comply with the Healthy Eating in Schools Programme Guidelines

• Prior to the date of commencement, the successful applicant and assistant(s) must complete the WSQ Basic Food Hygiene Course conducted by any of the accredited training providers appointed by the Workforce Development Agency

• Successful applicants must apply for individual hawker license from NEA

• Either the successful applicant or the assistant(s), whoever is the chef, must attend the Healthy Meals in School Programme workshop

• Completed application form

• Proposed menu and price list of all items to be sold

• Photocopy of relevant certificates including Basic Food Hygiene Course certificates of applicant and stall assistant/s

• Photocopy of Identification Card (front & back)

• Records of past catering/canteen experiences if any
  

Submission of Application
Please submit the completed application form with the supporting documents to the school’s General Office or email temasek_ps@moe.edu.sg by 31 March 2024.

Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted for an interview and food tasting session. Incomplete and late applications may not be considered.
